Recent Community Events

Children's Miracle Network, Credit Unions for Kids - is a year-round program which helps raise funds that go directly to the Phoenix Children's Hospital and the Tucson Medical Center's pediatric unit. A big thank you goes out to all of our generous members for their contributions throughout the year. First Credit Union was able to raise $20,000 for 2006 which benefits the Phoenix Children's Hospital and the Tucson Medical Center's pediatric unit.

Arizona Saves - Arizona Saves offers free services to help people save and build wealth. As a supporter of Arizona Saves, First Credit Union offers no-fee savings accounts to members. For more information on saving tips go to AmericaSaves. First Credit Union supports the 2007 program with a donation of $2,500.

88-Crime 8K Run - First Credit Union is a proud sponsor of the 88-Crime 8K Run. The event will be held at Cañada Riverfront Park. In the morning there will be an 8K Run and a 3K walk. Immediately following the run, there will be the day in the park which is to bring together the community and law enforcement groups such as fire, police, swat teams, DARE, etc. First Credit Union feels honored to sponsor such a great program with a donation of $500.

Pat’s Run - More than 13-thousand people showed up on Saturday, April 7 for the Pat Tillman run, and of course some of our very own participated. There were 35 First Credit Union employees who donated their time and more than $800 in total. We thank all those who participated and represented First Credit Union in our community.
The run was created in memory of Pat Tillman a former Arizona State University and Arizona Cardinals football player who was killed overseas while serving our country in the U.S. Army. The foundation is determined to carry Pat’s legacy forward by inspiring people to make positive changes in themselves and the world around them.

MS Walk - They showed up by the hundreds, with their walking shoes on and ready to go, but there was only one group that stood out from the rest in their lime green T’s, and it was none other than our team here at First Credit Union.
More than 90 employees, friends and family of First Credit Union showed up bright and early to benefit the annual walk for multiple sclerosis (MS) held at the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden on Saturday, April 14. Thanks to all who participated. We were able to donate more than $2,000 and most of all showed that First Credit Union cares!!!
The National MS Society is committed to building a movement by and for people with MS that will move us closer to a world free of this disease.

11th Annual Southern Arizona Golf Tournament - The Nogales Border Patrol Association is hosting their 11th Annual Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Memorial Golf Tournament and First Credit Union is a proud Diamond Sponsor. All proceeds benefit the Nogales Border Patrol Memorial Scholarship Fund.
