Community Involvement

Children's Miracle Network

Credit Unions for Kids is a year round fundraising program for Phoenix Children's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center pediatric units. Since 1997 First Credit Union has raised more than $220,000 for Tucson Medical Center and One Darn Cool School at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

MS Walk

First Credit Union along with the National MS Society is committed to moving together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. First Credit Union employees and family members have participated since 2007, donating more than $10,000. Money raised by Walk MS during the annual Phoenix Walk at the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens, allows the National MS Society to fund important research for a cure and provide programs and assistance to those affected by MS.

Educational Outreach

To promote lifelong financial stability, First Credit Union partners with Arizona schools to reward students for completing all homework assignments on time during an entire school year. Students receive a $25 deposit into their new credit union savings account.

Grant & Scholarship Programs

First Credit Union awards up to $5,500 a year to deserving students and educators. The "Imagine the Possibilities" College Scholarship and the Youth Financial Education Grant programs are intended to help promote education and youth financial literacy!

Junior Achievement of Arizona

Junior Achievement believes every child deserves an education in economics and finances in order to inspire and prepare them for success in a global economy. First Credit Union supports the misson of Junior Achievements and has donated more than $30,000 and numerous volunteer hours.

Their goal is to help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace.

Veteran's Medical Leadership Council

The goal of the VMLC is to help Veterans when they need help the most, and First Credit Union supports them annually and has donated more than $15,000 over the past 7 years.

 

The mission of the Veterans Medical Leadership Council is to promote initiatives that recognize the contributions of Veterans to our nation and enhance the health and welfare of Maricopa County Veterans.

 

ICAN Chandler

ICAN’s Mission is to provide free, comprehensive programs that empower youth to be productive, self-confident, and responsible members of the community.

ICAN is an investment in the future of our children and in the future of Chandler. First Credit Union has donated more than $8,000 since 2007 to support this organization.
