International Credit Union Day
Each year credit unions around the world along with their more than 186 million members join together and celebrate our cooperative difference on International Credit Union Day, which is always the third Thursday in October. This year it’s October 18, 2012. Celebrate with us! Please join us October 18th at any branch location to celebrate International Credit Union Day. We’ll have fresh, hot popcorn, a variety of FREE financial education pamphlets and booklets, as well as coloring pages for children. see you on the 18th!
International Year of Cooperatives
The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives.
All around the world, in the year 2012 people will celebrate a business model that puts people first, innovates to meet member need and provides local service while being part of a global network. Cooperative enterprises build a better world—and US co-ops are coming together to celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives.
Credit Union’s are a large part of the Cooperative world and here at First Credit Union we will be celebrating by bringing awarness to our members and employees throughout the year.
