The following Privacy Policy outlines practices regarding personally identifiable financial information for members and others with which we may establish a "member relationship."

Protection and use of Member information.

1. Types of Information the Credit Union Collects. We collect and maintain nonpublic personal information as part of servicing your account and administering your credit union membership, such as: We collect nonpublic personal information directly from members, joint owners, co-borrowers, and guarantors on various applications and forms, for example, loan applications, deposit account applications, and requests for information about accounts or products and services; We collect information from outside sources, such as a credit bureau, regarding your credit history or employment status, or transaction information from share drafts (checks), debit cards, credit cards, automated teller machine (ATM) cards, and electronic transfers (for example, home banking or automated clearinghouses (ACH) transactions). Nonpublic personal information does not include information the credit union obtains from government records, widely distributed media, or government-mandated disclosures.

2. Safeguarding Member Information. At First Credit Union we are committed to protecting the security and integrity of member information through procedures and technology designed for this purpose. For example:

We maintain policies and procedures covering the proper physical security of work places and records.
Our physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards comply with federal standards regarding the protection of member information.
We require independent contractors and outside companies who work with us to adhere to our strict privacy standards.

We use technological means (such as, backup files, virus detection and eradication software, fire walls, and other computer software and hardware) to protect against unauthorized access or alterations to member data. We endeavor to maintain the most accurate and up-to-date member records possible. If you find that your account information is not accurate, current, or incomplete, please call, e-mail or write to us at the telephone number or address on your account statement and we will make appropriate corrections. Since some e-mail transmissions maybe subject to interceptions, if your correspondence contains sensitive information (i.e., your account number or social security number) you may want to send a letter or facsimile to us.

We share information as permitted by law to provide you with better services and more options, such as, auto buying services. If we share "other than our own proprietary information" with our affiliate, we will provide a clear and conspicuous disclosure what information we may share and provide you an opportunity to opt out before sharing the information.

4. Sharing Nonpublic Personal Information and Non-Affiliated Third Parties. We will not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to anyone except as disclosed in this policy or as permitted by law.
