We are excited to announce two brand new programs available to First Credit Union members. Both programs are intended to help promote education and youth financial literacy! The “Imagine the Possibilities” College Scholarship and the Youth Financial Education Grant are awarded yearly.

“Imagine the Possibilities” College Scholarship |
First Credit Union will award up to six (6), $500 College scholarships in 2009 to graduating high school seniors who enroll in a full-time course of study at an Arizona college, university or vocational school, the semester following high school graduation. Applicants must be a First Credit Union member and must submit an application, copy of High School transcript, essay and letter of recommendation. All applications will be considered by a panel of First Credit Union employees. Scholarship money will be electronically deposited into the recipients’ First Credit Union account upon proof of enrollment.

Youth Financial Education Grant |
First Credit Union will award up to ten (10), $250 grants per year to Arizona educators and other community organizations to assist educators in teaching financial education to youth. Applicants must be a First Credit Union member and a current Arizona educator teaching at a public or private Arizona elementary, middle or high school or work at an Arizona community organization (e.g., Boys and Girls Clubs, ROTC, Booster Clubs, Parent/Teacher organizations). Applicants must submit an application and all supporting materials. All applications will be reviewed by a panel of First Credit Union employees.
