Annual Meeting Scheduled March 18, 2008

Members are invited to attend First Credit Union’s Annual Meeting, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chandler Corporate Office at 25 S. Arizona Place.

Voting Procedures and Deadlines

Members will elect three candidates to the credit union’s board of directors; each position will serve a three year term. The 2008 elections will be conducted by mail ballot. Each primary member 18 years and older will receive a ballot, which will be mailed on February 15, 2008. The ballots must be returned by 12:00 a.m. on March 12, 2008. Nominations will not be allowed from the floor at the Annual Meeting.

In accordance with First Credit Union bylaws, the following report of candidates selected by the nominating committee is hereby submitted.

Ruben Artana Ruben Artana serves as the Budget Manager for the City of Nogales. He received a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Technologica de Mexico. Mr. Artana is involved
in and is currently a coach for the America Youth Soccer Organization. Mr. Artana and his family reside in Nogales, Arizona.
 
Claire Jensen Claire Jensen(incumbent) has served on the First Credit Union Board of Directors for the past 3 years and prior to that on the Supervisory Committee for 6 years.
He has completed virtually all of the courses offered by NCUA. Mr. Jensen is a retired Federal Government Employee where he was a meteorologist for the National Weather Service. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree (meteorology) from Florida State University with graduate studies at University of Michigan. Since his retirement he has been very active in the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE). Mr. Jensen currently resides in Tempe, Arizona.
 
Michele L.B. Legg Michele L.B. Legg, Esq. is currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General at the Arizona Office of Attorney General since 1997, representing the Division
of Child Support Enforcement
and Child Protective Services. She received her doctorate at Gonzaga University, School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University. Ms. Legg currently serves as Board Member/ Secretary of the Arizona Family Support Council and is an active member of the following organizations: State Bar of Arizona, State Bar Fee Arbitration Committee, U.S. District Court (Arizona), Western Interstate Child Support Enforcement Council and the National Association of Counsel for Children. She currently resides in Flagstaff, Arizona with her husband, Jack, and two dogs.
Kenneth G. Mullins Kenneth G. Mullins (incumbent) has been a member of First Credit Union for 44 years. He has served as a volunteer for approximately 30 years~ 18 years as a member of the Supervisory Committee and
12 years on the Board of Directors. For the past five years, he has served as secretary of the Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Arizona State University, and a retired Administrative Officer for the United States Department of Agriculture. For the past 15 years, he has served as volunteer medic for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Medical Rescue Posse. He has completed the Achievement Program and Leadership Program for Credit Union volunteers. He has received the following awards: Board of Directors Award, Credit Committee Award, Edward A. Filene Award, Credit Union Services Award, Technology Award and Supervisory Committee Award. Mr. Mullins and his wife Rhona reside in Mesa.
Harry Rydell is a retired Account Executive and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he earned his Bachelors in Journalism with a minor in Business and
Advertising. He was a chairman and Board Member for Pioneer Plus Credit Union in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served as President of the Twin Cities Newspaper Guild, Gavel Club, and St. Paul Advertising Club. Mr. Rydell volunteered extensively for his church as well as St. Paul Junior Achievement and St. Paul’s United Way. He has conducted Management Counseling at the Mesa Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving on the Personnel Committee at the Church of the Master in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Rydell resides in Mesa, Arizona.
