When you enter the account number on any electronic deposit information (to set up direct deposit with your employer), always enter your account number as ten digits. To make a ten digit account number, simply add zeroes to the beginning of your account number and the number after the dash (but do not include the dash). For example, if the account number is 12345-6, then the 10 digit number is 0000123456.
