First Credit Union Awards College Scholarships to Arizona Students
$2,000 in college scholarship money awarded to four graduating Arizona high school students
Chandler, AZ – First Credit selected four recipients for their annual "Imagine the Possibilities" college scholarship program. This is the second year for the program. It is available to First Credit Union youth members who are high school seniors planning to graduate and enroll in a full-time course of study at an Arizona college, university or vocational school. Each recipient receives a $500 scholarship.
The 2009-2010 First Credit Union "Imagine the Possibilities" college scholarship recipients are:
- Andrea Maldonado from Hamilton High School in Chandler plans to attend Arizona State University
- Kali Thompson from Sandra Day O'Connor High School in Phoenix plans to attend Arizona State University
- Michael Tanner Libsack from Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe plans to attend Northern Arizona University
- Taylor Arvayo from Thunderbird High School in Phoenix plans to attend Northern Arizona University
"The achievements and goals of these exceptional students are remarkable. These kids are juggling school, sports, clubs, volunteer work and part-time jobs all at the same time. First Credit Union is honored to help these students further their education with our scholarship program," said Desiree Hoogerhuis, community outreach coordinator for First Credit Union.
